My Story is a best-selling and controversial book by Indian poet Kamala Das, originally written in Malayalam and translated into English. It narrates her personal and literary journey, from childhood to adulthood, with frankness and honesty. I continued to seek people and things I could lean on, to escape the need for making my own decisions and assuming responsibility for my own acts.
