She has written four books: the novel Torch () and the nonfiction books Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail (), Tiny Beautiful Things () and Brave Enough (). Cheryl Strayed's best-known work is "Wild," a memoir that recounts her solo hiking journey along the Pacific Crest Trail. The 1,mile trek was inspired by her personal struggles, the death of her mother, and the dissolution of her first marriage.
