Kwame alexander biography

Kwame Alexander (born Aug) is an American writer of poetry and children's fiction. Alexander was born in Manhattan, New York, and grew up in Virginia. [1]. His father was a scholar and book publisher and his mother was an educator. Kwame Alexander is an American poet, an author of young adult and children’s fiction, and an advocate for introducing literary works and writing to schoolchildren. He gained national prominence after winning the Newbery Medal in for his novel The Crossover ().
