Xul solar biography

Xul Solar was the adopted name of Oscar Agustín Alejandro Schulz Solari (14 December – 9 April ), an Argentine painter, sculptor, writer, and inventor of imaginary languages. Leaving Argentina in on a ship bound for Hong Kong, he disembarked in London and traveled through to England, France and Italy. In he began painting. He met the Argentine modernist painter Emilio Pettoruti in Milan in ; at this time he began to sign his works “Xul Solar.”. Xul Solar had a strong interest in astrology, and Buddhism and believed in rebirth, and in he began to draw his astrological charts and developed his own set of Tarot cards.
