Madeleine St John (12 November – 18 June ) was an Australian writer, the first Australian woman to be shortlisted [1] for the Booker Prize for Fiction (in for her novel The Essence of the Thing). Madeleine St. John was a renowned Australian writer and an award-winning novelist. She likes to write chick-lit, cultural, historical fiction, women’s fiction, romance, and adult fiction stories.
